JENNIFER HAVENS, NMD
Dr. Havens is a naturopathic physician and clinical researcher, offering evidence-based, precision integrative cancer care to adult and pediatric patients.
Dr. Havens obtained her medical degree from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) and Health Sciences. She completed internships in Integrative Medicine at Yale University in the Department of Pediatrics and at George Washington University in the Center for Integrative Medicine. She was awarded an NIH NRSA Fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle, after which, she continued her clinical training as a Resident in Naturopathic Oncology at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia.
Prior to becoming a naturopathic physician, Dr. Havens received her doctoral training at the University of Virginia in the Department of Molecular and Cancer Biology, after which she continued as a researcher working for the Department of Defense and Veterans Affairs Administration. Her background in cancer biology and genomics, coupled with her training as a naturopathic physician, makes her uniquely qualified to create integrative treatment protocols driven by patient-specific genetic analysis.
Dr. Havens co-founded Precision Integrative Oncology with Dr. Sydney Sharaf in 2020. She joined NFM alongside her colleague to spearhead the Nizhoni Cancer Center. She will continue her clinical research at NFM as well as develop protocols for supplemental treatment for pediatric oncology. She uses evidenced-based medicine and continues to write scholarly papers on integrative oncology. She is working toward starting an oncology residency for new graduate naturopathic medical students in the near future.
